THE COVE

YOUR SUPPORT IS NEEDED FOR THIS THREATENED DOLPHINS PRESERVATION MOVIE PLAYING ON NETFLIX

Earth Foundation urgently seeks your help in promoting awareness of the need to help Dolphins in Japan.  In the Academy Award winning documentary feature film “THE COVE” a team of divers utilize state of the art technology and street smart cleverness to chronicle the commercial ventures of dolphin capture in the village of Taiji, Japan.  Receiving rave reviews across the country, this movie provides a rare, unique, energizing viewpoint to galvanize public awareness of ecological destruction across the world.  “The eyes of the Dolphins watched from the sea, hoping humans would help them.”

Earth Foundation is helping promote and support “The Cove” so more people will understand what is happening to Dolphins in Japan.  Earth Foundation and its president promoted the film in Hawaii and helped promote it in Japan in 2009.

This film is constantly entertaining and highly educational about the ways and great heart of the Japanese people and the separate ways and huge terrible secret of the people of the little seaside town of TAIJI, JAPAN where the real cove is located in THE COVE movie.  This film also sheds great light on seafood, the international politics of whale and dolphin preservation, and some of the touchier workings of Japan’s national government.

“THE COVE” is an extremely special, exciting film and easy to watch — a real life thriller — and there is only one short, 5 minute segment that happens an hour into the movie that has any violence to Dolphins.  That’s important to know because some people have said they are uneasy about seeing this movie because they think there may be steady violence to Dolphins in it, which is not the case.  We advise people who may be uneasy during the 5 minute, violent segment to simply go into the lobby or take a short walk outside for 5 minutes and then return to the movie.  This movie is highly worth seeing.  People applaud at the end of the film.
